THE BUTTER FLYS.....FINALLY!

Finally got my butterfly finished. It's 24" tall, 19" wide 18" deep, with the actual butterfly wing span 25 inches.

Just a break from the political blogosphere. Comments welcome, if you're a nice person.

Well that is a really cool. What is the butterfly made out of? Or is it real?

The butterfly is made of walnut wood. the mount that the butterfly sits on is Russian Olive wood, and the base is made of White Cedar.

I didn't want to say anything because environmentalists might attack me for using wood from cut down trees. NG

The butterfly has a wingspan of 25 inches tip to tip. NG

I feel that the eighth offspring has just come out of the cacoon.

TOS, No, just my wife's inside joke. It took me so long to get this done and figure out how I was going to do things, it was like giving birth.

The next carving is a snooty Butler with his nose in the air holding a platter.

That's after a few well selected blogs and giving our friends at "Bring It On" a hard time and pointing out their hypocrisy.

WOW! The butterfly is beautiful. I can't believe carving a wing of wood so delicately. I must agree, the painting is awesome as well. I was imagining a flat butterfly and was awestruck at it's natural position and the stand upon which it landed. Looking forward to the "snooty Butler". :) Linda
