JUDGEMENT ON ZARQAWI DEATH UNIVERSALLY WRONG

Being the normal contrarian that I am, the universality of response that the death of the brutal Abu Musab al-Zarqawi won’t mean much of anything and will change little in Iraq, is universally wrong.

It will mean much more than predicted. The fact that Zarqwai stood as a symbol for all that is brutal, ruthless and despicable and still was eliminated, will resonate among all Iraqi’s and the terrorist replacements will not get the same esteem and thus not the same assistance from “local” terrorists. Because his own people turned on him, must have Osama bin Laden turning over in his cave.

In addition, any effort to replace him, will prompt an internal fight among “would-be assassins” to gain the spotlight. In the meantime, Iraqi forces will be free to step in gaining strength in the process, while terrorists have been significantly weakened.

Now that the taboo of turning on one's terrorist leader has been broken, it will happen more and more, especially as the population of Iraq: Shiite, Sunni and Kurds, envision a future without terrorist violence.

I believe that this will indeed be a turning point in the battle for all of Iraq, and perhaps a major step in the worldwide war on terror.

THANKS AMERICAN SOLDIERS...JOB WELL DONE.

Al Zarqawi and his 72 Virgins
I hate Elvis references, but which Al Zarqawi do the 72 virgins get, the fat one or the thin one? Or maybe they get the bloodied, battered, blown up one....

I suggest he get none...just bury him with a side of bacon and he can spend eternity smelling like a pig in addition to acting like one. Sorry I didn't mean to slur the noble porker.
